Post Worlds

Well the world championships are out of the way for another year and it is fair to say I am confident that I know what not to do in my preparation next time round.

In the K1 1000m I was placed 5th, the first time I have been off the podium in this event ever in my international racing career, and I must say it is not as bad as I thought it might be. In fact I feel a renewed hunger to train harder again. I trained hard this year but nothing compared to the commitment in the previous two, but we did use this year as an opportunity to try some different things, technically and with training volumes and intensities, so a lot has been gained in experience.
